Youth Mental Health Matters Campaign

The Goal:
Books for Every Child

Part of the Youth Mental Health Matters campaign, our book donation program collects books for children in impoverished areas, students who need textbooks, and young patients in hospitals.

Our Mission

The Goal is a vital part of the Youth Mental Health Matters campaignβ€”a fundraiser dedicated to collecting books for children who need them most. We believe that access to reading materials is essential for both education and emotional wellbeing.

Whether it's a child in an impoverished area discovering the joy of reading, a student struggling without textbooks, or a young patient in a hospital like Saint Jude's who can't attend school regularlyβ€”every child deserves access to books.

Books open doors to new worlds, provide comfort during difficult times, and empower young minds to dream bigger. Together, we can make sure no child goes without.

Who We Serve

These books go to children who need them mostβ€”bringing hope, education, and comfort.

Children in Impoverished Areas

Many children grow up without access to books at home or in their communities. We provide age-appropriate reading materials to spark imagination and support literacy development.

Students Who Are Struggling

Students who can't afford textbooks shouldn't fall behind. We collect and distribute educational materials to ensure every student has the resources they need to succeed in school.

Children in Hospitals

Young patients at hospitals like Saint Jude's often can't attend school regularly. Books provide comfort, entertainment, and continued learning during treatment and recovery.

Why Books Matter for Mental Health

Reading isn't just about educationβ€”it's about emotional wellbeing. For children facing difficult circumstances, books provide:

  • πŸ“–Escape and comfort: Books offer a safe space to escape stress and find peace.
  • 🌟Hope and inspiration: Stories show that challenges can be overcome.
  • 🀝Connection: Characters become friends during lonely or difficult times.
  • πŸ’ͺEmpowerment: Education opens doors to better futures.

For hospitalized children who can't attend school regularly, books maintain a sense of normalcy and keep learning alive during treatment. For students without textbooks, access to educational materials can be the difference between falling behind and succeeding.
